2007 has been a great year for Cigarette Racing Team, and 2008 is shaping up to be even better! Cigarette Racing Team’s continual efforts to surpass itself are evident in our 2008 model lineup which will be presented at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show.
This year, Cigarette will feature a portfolio of boats that exemplify the unsurpassed quality, performance, and luxury that has become synonymous with their name. Some of these models include updated versions of the 46’ Rider XP, 42’X, 39’ Top Fish, 39’ Top Gun Unlimited, and the 38’ Top Gun, but making its “grand” debut will be the all new 49’ Grand Sport.
“Cigarette has seen a very successful 2007. With our recent upgraded features and amenities, the 2008 and 2009 line up will be the best we have ever offered!” said Skip Braver, President and CEO of Cigarette Racing Team. “Each Cigarette is as unique as its owner. I like to say - If you’ve seen one... you’ve really only seen one!”
49’ Grand Sport
Are you prepared for the next level of performance and luxury? Freshly engineered, CAD designed & CNC cut, the 49’ Grand Sport is a brand new model which flaunts a bold new look for Cigarette! The 49’ Grand Sport is designed for the customer who wants the Cigarette look and performance, but who also requires the more elaborate amenities found in a typical cruiser.
The 49’ Grand Sport features a series of luxurious amenities not usually seen on a traditional Cigarette. With a 49 foot length and 10 foot beam, this new vessel features ample deck space as well as a large cabin with over 6’ of headroom. The cabin is equipped with a fully enclosed head with vac-u-flush toilet, hot water, sink and shower. For extreme passenger comfort, the Grand Sport was also designed with an underwater exhaust system, built in walkways for easy access to the fore and aft decks, full wrap-around windscreen, and integrated swim platform. The Grand Sport was engineered for extended cruising range while maintaining Cigarette’s legendary performance. It is powered by twin Mercury Racing 700 SCi engines with NXT1 drives. The state-of-the-art navigation system is duplicated on the passenger side with full instrumentation. In addition, the 46’ features a uniquely designed bow thruster for easy maneuverability. “The Grand Sport is a natural evolution of the Cigarette lineup - a little bigger, a little more comfortable, but just as badass as its little brothers,” exclaims Neill Hernandez, Vice President of Cigarette Racing Team.
46’ Rider XP
“If you want to run with the big dogs, step up to the 46’ Rider and go for the ride of your life!” says Skip Braver. “Nothing quite compares to the thrill you get riding this Cigarette.”
The 46’ Rider XP is powered by stacked twin Mercury Racing 1075 SCi with #6 drives. At 46’ in length, 8’ beam and nearing 120 mph top speed, the Rider is a razor blade through rough water. This 2008 46’ Rider proudly sports many optional features such as driver and passenger side throttle trim controls, state-of-the-art navigational system with dual Garmin 12” touch screen GPS, and a David Clark communication system — in short, this 46-footer is equipped with every possible feature and option that Cigarette installs in a boat. Cigarette’s 46’ Rider XP is all about making a statement — “I am the fastest and sexiest thing on the water!”
42’ X
Intrigued by the 42’ X? So was Powerboat Magazine. In its annual Performance Trials, the 42- foot performer was evaluated head-to-head with other boats in its class. Powerboat reported, “Cigarette has become synonymous for high-end muscle boats. It has earned and preserved its reputation in the high performance boating industry.” Gregg Mansfield, editor of Powerboat, emphasized, “The 42X was simply commanding in rough water. And when it came to performance, the Cigarette was a 100-mph boat on relatively tame power. That’s a hard combination to beat. The mystique of Cigarette really isn’t all that mysterious. It’s simply the result of what happens when rough-water dominance meets attention to detail. That’s why Cigarette Racing Team remains a legend, and why this 42X is a winner.” Powerboat Magazine awarded Cigarette Racing Team the 2007 Custom Offshore V-bottom of the Year Award and featured the 42’X on its June cover.
The 2008 42’X displayed at the show is powered by twin Mercury Racing 700 SCi engines and NXT1 drives. The 42’X is also available with 850SCi’s and 1075SCi’s Mercury Racing engines.
39’ Top Fish
When it comes to a fast and luxurious, yet practical sport fishing boat, what better than Cigarette Racing Team’s 39’ Top Fish! Introduced in 2007, the 39’ Top Fish has already been recognized as a serious contender in the high-end center console sport fishing market. At 39’ in length and with a 10’ beam, the Top Fish has been engineered for optimal space configuration and comfort while maintaining its trademark deep-V wave slicing hull. Cigarette will feature two power configurations of the 39’ Top Fish at the Fort Lauderdale show — a triple engine equipped with three 300 HP Mercury Verados and a quad engine with four 300 HP XS Optimaxs. The triple engine reaches maximum speeds of 67 mph while the quad has been clocked at over 75 mph.
The 2008 models feature new tubular style T-tops and a revised helm seating station.
