MARILYN DeMARTINI POWERS UP WITH POWERBOAT P1


As the Powerboat P1 World Championship reaches out to the U.S., inviting race teams, manufacturers and sponsors to join its ranks, the new management team has recruited the PR and marketing services of Marilyn DeMartini.

DeMartini’s agency is expanding to do business as PR Power with a new website, www.prpower.biz, to launch soon. Long-time marine industry veteran, Tony Esposito, will be joining DeMartini to work on Powerboat P1 and other agency clients. “Marilyn and I have been looking for the right opportunity to combine forces for years. Powerboat P1 has been producing the type of professional offshore racing events that U.S. promoters have only dreamed about. This combination is pure kismet.”

PR Power will act as the U.S. press office for The Championship, working directly with London-headquartered Powerboat P1 Management, to package and disseminate the circuit’s news. The agency will also work to further establish Powerboat P1’s presence in the U.S. by developing team and sponsorship opportunities.

DeMartini has become a fixture in the powerboat market over the past ten years. She started with the Drambuie On Ice World Champion Super Cat Team and worked with industry leaders like Speedvision, Cigarette Racing Team, and now Outerlimits Powerboats. She is also a columnist for Extreme Boats Magazine, has written for numerous trade and consumer publications and has been a co-host and producer for American Powerboat Television.
