Sunsation Performance Boat News...

(Las Vegas, Nevada) - November 11, 2009: Sunsation Boats announced today that it has formed a unique partnership with Unique Autosports to venture into the Marine Television. Known for many years as the leading automotive anthology program on SPEED TV, President Will Castro stated "...Well, the decision to go with Sunsation was simple, Charlie Melchner, Mahopac Marina (Sunsation's exclusive authroized Eastern New York and Connetiacut dealer) took me for the ride of a lifetime....We hit the Hudson River at full song and no-mater what the condition of the water I saw ahead, it was smooth as silk and FAST in this boat !"

Debuting in Las Vegas during the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) Show last week. The 3-way partnership was unveiled: Unique Autosports, Sunsation Boats and Mahopac Marine Sales this week in Las Vegas. This boat marks the first of many Sunsations that Unique will modify and enhance for it's television show airing weekly each Tuesday at 10 PM Eastern (with several additional runs throughout the month).

This SSR Sunsation debuted in the largest Automotive Show in North America. Very few of the over 50,000 displays had anything to do with water and this one stole the show. Not only was it a treat to meet Will Castro personally but the Sunsation was dramatic by it's shear presence.

This Unique Whips is the portrayal of the madness of machines and the men who build them. Will Castro runs a tight ship and offers no time for laziness or poor performance. The SSR Sunsation was a challenge. Most of the enhancement that Unique Autosports performs was already in the boat that Sunsation built for Mahopac. Charlie Melchner says, "I like to do it different. I see what I want and propose it to Wayne or Joe at Sunsation and with only a few small deviations... They Build It !!"

This was the challenge to Will Castro, "The boat came to me totally over the top... It was interesting to see what we could do to make it astounding... but we did...." The sound system in the Sunsation at SEMA was so powerful that it could have been used for the show PA and music system. While tuning the system, the folks at Unique had everyone with in a football field of the display dancing to Bob Marley! It truly was over the top.

The Debut of the show is Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Most of the sizzle of the Unique Sunsation will be contained in the show but further the boat goes on tour and ends up at the January opening of Unique Autosports, Miami. About Sunsation:

Sunsation was started in 1982 by brothers Wayne and Joe Schaldenbrand. The Schaldenbrands felt they could build a better boat than ones they were currently buying. The first boat built was a 16 foot model called the Sunburn. The company was housed in an old Horse Barn and due to the height of the doors so Wayne had to build a low profile boat. After a few years the 25 Aggressor came along followed by the 288 Intimidator.
