P1 Radio Brings "radio-active" Racing Action!
Can't make it to Malta for the Powerboat P1 season opener this weekend? Powerboat P1 Radio offers the next best thing to being there! Offered at www.powerboatp1.com/multimedia, P1 radio offers live race action-start to finish, Powerpole to podium. Intriguing interviews, insights, features, team backgrounds and results-are all up to the minute for three days of solid race coverage from broadcast veterans Steve Ancsell and the America's own Martin Sanborn.
Broadcast on local FM frequencies, the internet, local PA systems and marine VHF radios, P1 Radio is the voice of the Powerboat P1 World Championship. The show complements the web-based Virtual Spectator (also available at www.powerboatp1.com) which enables fans to download the VS software (does require certain video card capabilities) and watch race from a number of perspectives, while listening to entertaining and informative P1 Radio commentary. It's almost as good as being there!
One of the best features of P1 Radio for the fans at home is, should you miss a race, you can replay it and not miss a lap. The races are archived over the season to revisit at your leisure. The radio show provides listeners with approximately 165,000 minutes of race coverage, streamed per event-nearly a million minutes of racing action for the season. The races are also simulcast and linked via talkoffshore.com.
P1 Radio offers the marine industry and other related business that value the vast overseas and domestic audience, a perfect marketing venue; various sponsorship packages are available through Airwaves, a UK-based company that has been providing race coverage, including the prestigious Cowes Weeks for 24 years.
Ad packages range from Gold and Silver to Bronze, utilizing professionally pre-produced 30-second spots (included in the cost of the sponsorship) in time increments of 72 plays per individual Grand Prix event, plus 40 bonus previews spots, to 20 plays per race, plus 15 preview bonus spots.
