Team Amsoil Offshore Continues To Validate Amsoil Dominiator Racing Oil
TEAM AMSOIL OFFSHORE CONTINUES TO VALIDATE AMSOIL DOMINIATOR RACING OIL AS THE BEST LUBRICANT ON THE PLANET
Team AMSOIL Offshore is busy preparing the number 77 Skater for the 2010 racing season. As part of the annual program, the Mercury Racing 525EFI engines are returned to Mercury Racing in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to be freshened, certified and re-sealed for competition.
Rick Mackie, at Mercury Racing, called after the engines were disassembled to relay that the engine technicians reported that they had never seen a pair of racing engines in such good condition after a full season of racing. It was reported that wear was minimal to non-existent and that the engines were extremely clean internally.
Team AMSOIL Offshore logged in excess of 3,000 miles of racing and testing on the number 77 Skater during the 2009 season. AMSOIL 15W-50 Dominator Racing Oil has been used exclusively since these motors were new. Team AMSOIL uses the exact same Dominator Racing Oil in consumer packaging that is available for sale by AMSOIL dealers.
There has been quite a bit of discussion over the years regarding the suitability of full synthetic oils used in marine engines equipped with hydraulic roller lifters. AMSOIL’s formulation, in part, was designed to provide maximum lubrication while addressing roller lifter skidding problems. The Mercury Racing 525 EFI Racing Engines are equipped with the same style of roller lifters that the majority of all performance marine engines utilize. The sleek silver Skater 368 boat debuted in the middle of the 2007 season and has been going strong ever since. Team AMSOIL ran the 2009 season without the need for any engine repairs. The only maintenance that was performed was changing oil, oil filters, and fuel filters.
Inspection of these engines after a year of full-throttle operation further validates AMSOIL Dominator Racing Oil as the only choice for performance marine engines.
Capping off a near perfect winning season for 2009, Team AMSOIL Offshore won a second consecutive SBI World Championship Title at the season finale in Key West, Florida. Team AMSOIL Offshore also won the 2009 Super Boat International, Offshore Super Series, and OPA National Championship Titles and the second consecutive Geico Triple Crown. Team AMSOIL Offshore finished in first place in all but one race that was entered during the 2009 season.
Additionally, the AMSOIL Offshore Racing Team beat its own Official Endurance Record in the Cat Lite Class from Miami, Florida to Bimini, Bahamas and back. On Friday, June 12th, 2009, Team AMSOIL #77 ran the endurance event in 59 minutes and 40 seconds, which was a little over 5 minutes faster than last year’s record. The official average speed of the Team was recorded at 106.8174 MPH.
Stay tuned for Team AMSOIL Offshore Racing’s exciting 2010 racing schedule, which will be published soon.
