Default Lake havasu boat show breaks through the 120 exhibitor barrier

Although the national mainstream media continues to bemoan a frustratingly slow economic recovery, exhibitors at the 21st Annual Lake Havasu Boat Show, April 20-22, are certainly doing their part to break out of the slump. “We’re still a little over six weeks away from opening the boat show, and we’re very close to running out of available exhibit space,” commented show organizer Bob Brown. “It appears that the boating industry is tired of waiting for Washington to declare the recession is over. Boat manufacturers, local dealers and accessory companies are coming back in high gear and want to get on with their businesses. When you more than double the number of exhibitors in just one year, you know that something good is beginning to happen, and it’s about time.”

What is especially encouraging is the attraction that the 2012 Lake Havasu Boat Show is having on high performance boats and products. “We have exhibitors bringing product from as far away as Florida, Missouri and New Jersey,” said Brown. “The fact that the Lake Havasu Boat Show and Desert Storm now run concurrently over a nine-day period starting on April 20 has significantly motivated more performance brands to be involved than ever before. By the time the boat show opens, we will have well in excess of 120 exhibitors.

In addition to the boat show, attendees will also enjoy two-days (Saturday and Sunday) of exciting offshore powerboat racing, high speed water ski competition and a Legends by the Lake street rod car and hot boat show with two-hundred participants. And not to leave anglers out, a new fishing pavilion with boats, bait, tackle, seminars, demonstrations and special exhibits will also be on display. For those seriously considering the purchase of a new boat at the boat show, demo rides will be available by appointment starting at 3pm on Sunday, April 22, and again on Monday, April 23 from 9am to 4pm. Boat show hours are: Friday, April 20 noon to dusk; Saturday, April 21 9am to dusk; and Sunday, April 22 9am to 3pm. Admission is a nominal $2.00 for adults (includes all attractions), kids 12 & under are free, and parking is also free. Food, beverages and a beer garden are available on site. The boat show is located at Lake Havasu State Park, Windsor 4 on London Bridge Road next to the Hampton Inn.

The 2012 Lake Havasu Boat Show title sponsor is Teague Custom Marine. Additional boat show information and applications for exhibit space reservations are available at www.lakehavasuboatshow.com. Join us on Facebook.
