Teague Custom Marine Inc. (TCM) is extremely proud to announce the induction of its own Cherilyn Teague into the 40 Under Forty Class of 2012. This is a special award that recognizes young leaders in the Santa Clarita Valley, the area where TCM is based in North Los Angeles County.

The 40 Under Forty Awards were established in 2009 to recognize young individuals for leadership and dedication within their community or line of work. A unique class of 40 honorees has been inducted annually since the inception of the awards.

Cherilyn functions as the Executive Assistant at Teague Custom Marine and is involved of many aspects of the business including administration, customer service, apparel design, marketing, and events. She has also had the opportunity to work on special projects such as emissions compliance for the company’s line of high performance marine engines. TCM later became the first California based company to earn clean emissions certification on the engines it manufactures, an important achievement in securing its place as an industry leader.

The 40 Under Forty awards reception and dinner was held November 29, 2012 at Tournament Players Club Valencia. Cherilyn attended the reception along with parents Bob and Andrea Teague and brother John Teague, all of whom work together in the business. Cherilyn and John both attended California State University, Northridge and earned Bachelor degrees in Business Administration with Honors; Cherilyn’s with an emphasis in Business Law and John’s with an emphasis in Finance and a double major in Economics. They have both worked full time at TCM since graduation.

TCM serves the needs of both retail customers and all major boat manufacturers as a marine engine builder and parts supplier, along with its own line of TCM parts manufactured in-house. Not just a mail-order warehouse, TCM technicians have the ability to install any part that the company sells. 40 years of experience in the high performance marine industry affords the company a wealth of product and technical knowledge to pass on to its customers. TCM also has the ability to innovate new products due to a need arising in the marketplace or for a unique solution for almost any application. Part of TCM's product validation is attributed to working closely with its boat building partners as well as field testing in both pleasure and race applications.
