My prayers and condolences go out to ScottB and his Family on the passing of Scotty's Uncle Pete. My Cousin Val and I grew up with Pete who had a body shop/towing company in Union City, NJ and got us out of trouble on many occasions. He was loved and will be missed. Scott, I'll see you all when you get up here. If there is anything you need done, call me. Augie

Thank you guys, my Uncle got me involved in this nutty sport as owner and driver of Sneaky Pete in the early 70's racing with my Dad.
He was just down at the Miami race a few weeks ago and I am so glad we spent some time together. Thanks all

Here's Peter's boat back in '74 in AC for the Hennessey Grand Prix.
He single handedly launched our love affair with offshore racing. We were the coolest kids in school because our uncle raced offshore in one of those "cigarette boats".

P.S. I believe this is the earliest photo of Scotty with a race vest on.
