Hello Race Fans,

It’s time for the final race of regular OPA season that will be held in Cambridge Maryland on the weekend of September 23rd and 24th.

This race will be run under a new and improved format. All teams will race on both Saturday and Sunday so everyone needs to arrive on Friday in order to get inspected and registered.

The two days of racing with feature a shortened race distance with each race earning half points. This new format will provide the teams with a chance to make adjustments between races and a second chance to take a win.

Our roster shows 46 teams expected to fill the Hyatt’s property so this will be our biggest race of the year and the high points champions is on the line.

More info will follow over the next week but for now, get your boat ready and enjoy this short video that will air on local TV stations to promote the event.

BTW, since nobody has mentioned it, the dates are wrong on the promo, luckily they are changing that and adding music. I 'll try and post the finished product when it is done.

i was planing in go to cambrige, now that i'm out of job in the races have a little free time, but my dad calme and tell me he miss me so , i deside to take a trip to puerto rico foe a week to see pap (he is 92), and go do some good diving, parting and drinking, so iwish you guys the best of the time , be safe and have fun.\

Too bad...always good to see it around the shop in the summer...not to mention when it was really competitive a couple years ago. Any plans for another raceboat?

Everyone said they had a blast, we basically ran 1/2 the race each day. Some people broke and fixed overnight so the second half was good for them. The spectators liked that there were only 2 classes out there and it was much easier to tell who was racing who.
