I would personally thank all the members of the CBPBA, for making this event a blowout for the Boyz. I know there were a lot of members on duty all weekend. Unfortunately it was so busy I did not get to meet you all, But just want you all to know how much we appreciate all you do. The people I do work with there on a daily basis....Ted, Mike, and Bill, you guys rock. The OPA Staff, it has been a long haul, thankyou all. Most of all.....the OPA Racers who have stepped up to make your organization grow. It was great hanging around with such great people. You make our job so easy.
Now that the race for the points is over, we start with a clean slate. What is next? DESTIN The Worlds. Who will be the Champ? We will update you weekly with info, stay tuned. East Coast vrs West Coast OPA Racing vrs POPRA Let the Smack begin. Smitty

George and I had a great time in Cambridge. We spent 7 hours looking for parts all of Saturday night and toured all the back roads in the county thanks to Smitty ( just pull out of the parking lot and turn left and theres lots of parts stores) but we got it ready for Sunday then we Broke out at 70.2 MPH :eek: But George and I will be back in Destin with the boat dialed in even better like 69.9 So Dukes do your home work we will see you in Destin. PS I am going to put Mirrors on the boat it to hard for us old guys to turn around to see where your at all the time. :D

Are the rules going to be the same next year for OPA? We're tossing around the idea of bringing up the Sutphen for the NJ race.

Thanks to the OPA for bringing such a phenomenal show to Cambridge. Everyone was ecstatic (well almost) and the show was great! It's a lot of work, but it is great to know how much everyone appreciates what we do. Next year I'm gonna see if we can get some parking "stackers" and we'll just run a second level of boats and trucks on the lawn :eek: All the food vendors want to have a wedding break in the middle of all the races since their sales went up :D

The rule book that is currently in place is locked in for three years, before there can be any changes. This was done to insure if you built a boat, it would be competitive for years to come. Getter Wet. Smitty

congrats to the dukes and all there many frends.it took alot of hard work and dedication to win back to back championships.crockett is building a titanium propane injected 900 h.p. engine for destin, as we speak.Sparky Olsen over at Vichous Marine is building us a new hull out of bamboo.my wife has me on slim fast thanks to crockett.to al pettit be aware our gps unit will be sealed in a box filled with gamma rays.its destin or death. p.s. thanks smitty for your first class approach to making offshore fun. george eisenhart
