You are wrong in this matter........ A fountain canopy with twin 750's should be in class 1 .....PERIOD. They have had all year long to get it together and have whipped EVERYONE including all the P1 boats. If a 525 fountain can run 108/109 then there is very little doubt in my mind that OTC runs in the 120's......and will whip everyone in the class.

Well...I thought it was a speed bracket class only....that is how it was layed out to us originally from the start....so let me get this straight............they wait till the worlds to tell them to move up????...ok....they did not need the aggravation of moving up......they need some props...maybe they should have moved them ....like after the first race....please explain this to me....since I helped with this boat and had another boat entered with jeff....and have a px boat almost done....somebody please explain this to me....besides deleting the thread again....I do not remember anything about motor limits or drive limits......just speed limits....not to exceed...well....somebody get explaining.....and somebody get some more props....oh yea....they were trained in p2...not p1.....possibly curtis and jimmy give me all this wrong info while there down there ....or possibly you think me and JC come on here to stir it up...yea ok....like I want to start throwing rocks at the mother ship.....ok....we will see who is in p 2 in am......see if fox is in the hen house..

There is obviously something underlying that I missed in a previous thread so if this questions sounds stupid, sorry ~ Plus next year will be my first year racing boats.

But if this is bracket racing that as long as you don’t break the speed limit it should not matter, right? If every boat travels at an equal rate of speed the only determining factor for what class they should race would be size – If my max speed is 75mph (class 5) and I drive a 6500lbs 29 scarab, I think I would kill and smaller (26ft) and lighter boat traveling at the same speed in rougher water. The boats only powering forward with the props in the water, right?

It also comes down to acceleration.

The Chip has 400 more ponies over all the other boats in thier class. And the boats are all pretty much identical.
They had to dial it back quite a bit to stay under the 105 mark for thier class.

Now that they know the boat, they can run where they belong.

OPA also let Perrfect move down a class. It's all about making it a fair playing field for everyone.

Byrd, did you listen to the race, they ran side by side and swapped the lead. They raced against Cat lite Reliable. Not the Supercat.

525s in a cat, 750s in a vee. Sounds like a bracket race to me.
