Randy do you mean the Innovation APBA seals.?? There were Teage, Crockett, Innovation, Griffin sealing for APBA at one time.

Noise is a good thing in a race boat. I dont think the HP gains on a 500 EFI would make any difference on the water.

I don't see a problem with the dry exhaust I think it would be safer so you don't have to worry about reversion problems.

I take this as a "NO" to my question then, which leads to my next question: Tyler, what is the difference between you be a certified "sealer" for SBI/APBA and a certified "re-sealer" for ORL? I'll have Frankie call ya soon, I am getting more confused by the day.

Hey Candy, nice call we actualy agree on something
hmmm the matchup you have wanted since I met ya Krytonite vs. Fountain, you had better bring back Hollywood :evilb:

Trent you can run the 500 Merc engines that Innovation sealed. We just want to Dyno the engine and put our calibration in the ECU so we have control over the engine. Mercury locks their ECU's so nobody can get into them and if we can't get in who knows what everybody has in there. I am going to test a engine with the Merc manifold verses the Holley manifold with the same cal in the ecu and see what the differences are and let everyone know.

Tyler and Brain H. I think its a grat idea to still dyno and calibrate all the engines....even know they have been sealed at one time...with you dynoing them is a great idea....
The cost will not be that much and it will great way to really have checks and balances.....
Plus with the bigger purse it would be worth the F1 guys investment....looking foward to more info.....

Re: Orl

What do you mean when you say recalibrate the engine? Isn't a stock ECM from merc something that cant be changed? Maybe we could just put them all in a pile before the race and each take one out if we feel there is a problem.
Also is this just a stock Merc 500 EFI class only? or will there be other manufactures or even carb 500 motors. Be careful guys and remember the past with multiplies motors. At the end of F1 it was the idea of 1 motor,1 drive, 1 weight that most racers wanted for parity. If we are starting new we need to know the vision of what we are racing for. State it now so we all know what the vision is on motors.
Just my 2 cents but I like the 1 motor only program keep it simple and the racing between the racers not the motor builders. The motor builders can rebuild and dyno all new motors that dont have a APBA/ Innovation seal on them.

Re: Orl

Randy:

No 500 carbs are allowed. The only allowable ORL engines are: Tyler Crockett 500 efi , Mercury 500 efi and we're also allowing a Paul Pfaff 500 efi. Let me clarify why we let Paul Pfaff in. I felt it was beneficial to bring the West Coast teams back into the mix. They've always been serious about offshore racing and I've got several teams committing if we can help them logistically w/ the engine pkg. I brought this scenario to Tyler and he set up the deal. Tyler has the right technology to not only build a dependable 500 efi engine , he also has the equipment and knowledge to set guidelines for Pfaff to enter ORL. I only did this to attract the West Coast Teams. I'm trying to be fair and not leave anybody out of the game. 2007 ORL Rules will be out before Sunday evening.

Nice job Brian thinking about the west coast. As for Randy, this would be the first time his seals were broke.? What kinda trash you got to say about that Candy. :D
