As of last year POPRA is flying solo. With the help of OPA I hope to get us back on track like the old days. We have some great race sites on the west coast just got to get the boat count back up.

So how do you join PROPRA?

Thanks,

If you have any questions regarding getting your boat ready for pre-race inspection at any of the 2007 POPRA races please feel free to get in touch with me. It is easier and less expensive to figure issues out before you get to the race site.

It will be a P2 boat 1/4 canopy ect....

I was interested in the basics for the class. It is more of an overall review on what was needed. What safety eqipment.... Doctors check-ups? I need a simple check list for them.

When the boat is near completion I will get them in touch.

Thanks,
pat W

Here is what we have used in the past:

1.) Your boat must be equipped with kill switches, 2 fire extinguishers (charged), a towrope, flares, first aid kit, VHF radio, and anchor.
2.) You will need a race approved life jacket and race helmet (orange or yellow in color)
3.) You will need a CDL (Commercial drivers license) or FAA physical within the past 2 years for all riding personnel. Proof required at registration.
4.) Full-canopied boats require an air tank scuba system with approved mask & helmet.
