Was exactly/technically does delamited mean? The lamination was comprimised resulting in failure?

pretty much. the outer laminate is compromised for any number of reasons. Hit something, internal structural faliure, outer laminate skin might have had a bad layup. At any rate the promlbem can start very small but once the water pressure opens up the surface the problem grows exponentially very quickly. The hydrolic pressure basically blows the laminate apart (i.e de-laminating) and anything else in its way. Believe it or not a hole the size of a quarter can end up with catastrophic results like this. This is one of the worst i have seen, our cat had a strake de-lam in Destin last year but because of how the boat was layed up it didnt go any farther than that and i was able to fix it. it sux this happened, hope they can get it back together. from those pics that is gonna be a tough repair.
