From weather.com; "In the Atlantic basin, an elongated area of low pressure remains nearly stationary about 400 miles west southwest of Bermuda this morning. Strong shearing winds remain overtop this area, and is not allowing for any organization into a tropical or sub-tropical system. However, over the next 24 to 36 hours, high pressure is forecast to build overtop this area, lessening the upper-level winds. This may allow this to develop into a tropical or subtropical system, just as steering winds shift, pushing this system back toward the U.S. east coast. An Air Force Hurricane Hunter plane is scheduled to investigate this system later today. Right now an increased threat of rip currents exists from the Northeast Florida coast, to across the Carolina coast, but conditions could worsen if a tropical system takes shape later this weekend. Persons living anywhere from the Southeast Atlantic Coast, to the Mid-Atlantic coast should stay tuned to The Weather Channel into the weekend." |
I just talked to the boys at the Coast Guard...were in good shape....they said if it dose organize...it will stir the water up a little but the weather would not be a factor till late Sunday night....just to expect around 5 foot seas either way on Sunday....
