There is No _one Better Photogropher. Both Sharkey as well as Jeff From Freeze Frame Are The Best in the Buisness! Not only are they great photographers, But are also Great Guys and Top Notch Buisnessman. I wouldnt Put a dollar down on Either of them with this Bet, Instead I would Just Buy some Great Photos from Both of them, That way the Money is Well Spent! Thank you Both to Sharkey as well as Jeff From Freeze Frame for your dedication to our Sport, attention to detail and Being Part of our Offshore Family! Keep the Shots Comin!

2 Cents

Just my 2 cents but I enjoy both of there hard work and dedication to the sport. I spend 240 days on the road so I cant make as many opa events as I would like to but I can always count on their photos to catch up on the race action.

Jr.

You said it. All the photographers that take the time, energy, and have the enjoyment of shooting these pics to share with the ones that cant make the race all agreat.

I agree with Jr.

they are both great photgraphers. Jeff has been around for a lifetime. He deserves as much credit as the same Legends we gave awards to two weeks ago.

He is the true pioneer of offshore photography.

by the way OUTLAW MACHINE....who are you?

your relatively new here. care to introduce yourself?

Wow !!!
What a thread !

I am stunned to be put in the same category as a 23+ year veteran. What can I say but Thank You all for your compliments.

Jeff has done a fine job multi tasking in the air and getting some great coverage.

As for myself, I wanted to make an attempt at bringing as much of the race to the people that can't get to the races.

I try to capture as much of the behind the scenes as possible, as well as different angles and areas of the race course.

Someone even asked if I was going to fly in Point Pleasant to get my shots. I did have the opportunity but I turned it down mainly because I knew we were to have Jeff and 1 other photographer flying the course. I did not see the point in having anymore air coverage especially when I knew what I could get from the Pier at Martells. The goal there was to get a completely different perspective for the fans and the racers as they go to view the photos later.. I hope I accomplished that.

My attitude towards the photography of the races is, not 1 person can be in all places at the same time. Not 1 photo is ever going to be exactly the same image.

I was grateful to see IMAX's photos as well. He managed to cover another area of the course that was not being seen. On top of that, his shots are awesome.

If I had to name two of the best in the business and will always be inspired by, it would be the late Tom Newby and Ned Dawson. I missed a golden opportunity to shoot with Ned in Orange Beach. I'll never fogive myself for that but I had another photo shoot scheduled which unfortunately was cancelled at the last minute.

I will continue to try to get the coverage that the racers and the fans are looking for. The party photos seem to be a great hit as well.....:cool-smiley-026:

I appreiciate all the support I have gotten from the racers, sponsors and fans with their purchases.
It makes things a bit easier when trying to get to the races.

Thank you all for the support.....:ernaehrung004:

The investment for a professional quality camera, helicopter, travel/expenses, processing photo's etc. is commendable...

As far as comparisons go, it really doesn't make any sense to compare anyone......

Everyone does a great job, keep up the good work! :drink:
