p1 class with opa

how exactly does the p classes decide which boats should run p1 or p2. i have the same question as the other guy, a supercat lite would easily run in the 120's. is the top speed of 115 the mark for the average lap speed or how fast that boat can run at it's top speed?? i know that gps units are used but is the 115 mph the breakout speed that can't be passed?

Thats how it works,if you break out you are DQed.You can step up to PX,but you are going to need more power:D

so you would set the boat up to run at 115 mph max and work your setup from there?

Hey Dave, For Class one, you would set your boat up for the best acceleration to 115 mph if you go over 115 you have a break out. With the mix of sites we have with both rough and calm water, a few props and spacers can make a big difference.Happy New Year, Louie
