Default Cutting up the Fountain!

Nine days to go and we are still cutting! With no help from the manufacturers on our leaking fuel bladders, we had to start from stratch and build new aluminum tanks. Problem is, usually they build boats around the tanks!

It is gonna be some long nights to be at Ocean City.

Like I said Dean if you need some help call, I'm sure we could even get a few of the guys from Sparkys shop to pitch in this weekend to.

Good luck with the tank fitting. Saw your boat heading down 94 last night. Boat looks great, can't wait to see it on the water

Why wouldn't you just get new bladders?

What a great question. First they have been leaking for years (according to ATL) because they were incorrectly installed (according to ATL). They would have been under warranty if they were correctly installed (according to ATL). So now it would cost me $5400 to replace just the bags from ATL or $5600 from Fountain and takes 4 weeks. I have 9 days left until the first race and the wonderful customer service I have received has left me with a bad taste. (and sore azz)

Add the bladders to the list of:

Engines with 20% leak downs, but only show 50hrs on ECM, the drives blowing apart on the first run because the top caps weren't tighten down, the gimbal helmets wore out because the pin bushings were not installed, transom not being repainted, one trailer wheel with no brake calipers, because of the lack of a brake caliper the wheel studs didn't tighten down and destroyed the wheel, new paint peeling on canopy becasue of poor prep work and the list goes on. The good news is that I was offerred a "great rate" by Fountain to repair all these things I already paid them for.

I wounder if there are any lawyers on OSO that work on commision?
