I can't tell you what an honor it is to be a part of the OPA. I have always been impressed watching the workings and details that go into a race from setting up the course, to the awards party. Smitty, Augie, Anthony, Alan, Val, Mike, Toni, Sam, Bruce Johnson and Frank have brought the organization to a new level. John Haggin and his entire crew from AMF/ Miss Geico bring so much to the table they are beyond words. Chaplin Jim Blacks words are so meaning full and to the heart, always get choked up after listening. Seeing all my friends getting ready to race, running around making last minute adjustments on there boats at a fever pitch is awesome. Having Bruce, Dee, Tim, Racegirl and Jeff taking pics and video makes us all stars lol. Well I just have to say one more thing or I'll be typing all night. A little while back I read an article about Jim Poplin and the Stars Rescue Team, they are great. I thought someday I may get to meet Jim and the team. Well I have and at our last meeting he helped me fix a leaky gas line on my scooter! What other sport can you hang out with and be friends with Legends? Wether it is your first race or you are a seasoned veteran you guys are all Legends to me. I will do my best, Louie
