I was on Pace boat #1 we had a Great start and I looked into the cockpit as they passed us. I am truly saddened at this tragedy. My heart goes out to the families & friends. I did not know them but being a racer I feel very close the them. God Speed !!! Jo

The East Coast Boat Racing Club of New Jersey Family sends all our Love, Thoughts and Prayers to the Aero Express Family. I know it's hard Dejana, try to have patience so the professionals can work to find the answers you are looking for. Anything else is not fair for you to listen to during this time. Phil and Kevin were around our club camp on Saturday night and our members spoke highly of them. Hats off to you Louie for an amazing weekend and by showing the height of professionalism by saying there were no winners-so true right now.

Does anyone know exactly what happened, hearing conflicting stories from them hitting a waverunner, to just losing control out of no where etc? If they hit a watercraft like the waverunner what was it even doing in the race???
Sad, R.I.P.

You beat me to it Scott.
Now is not the time to discuss or speculate as to what caused this ACCIDENT or who to blame.
We all know the inherent dangers of motor sports. Some are more dangerous than others. In the end, we take our lives into our own hands doing what we love to do.
Let the investigation play out and let the families mourn their loss.
