All day, just totally bumbed. I can't believe 7 years have gone by. I was in my shop 7 years ago when Kurt Berger called me and said "Oh my God turn on the TV" a sight that will stay in my mind forever. God bless the families of the victims, and God bless the Troops defending our way of life. God Bless America. Smitty

Yes....today was in my mind all day. When it happened, I was doing my homework at my apartment at college in Rochester, NEW YORK. I was 1 year away from receiving bachelor's degree. When I saw, I paged my ex-girlfriend to turn on tv.

I visited NYC in August 1997 and touch WTC. WTC was totally amazing and I wish today WTC is still standing tall.

What I will never forget Is going up there after when you first get on the N.J turnpike from the parkway you can see lower Manhattan.But this time the towers were gone and there was a hugh cloud of smoke.It looked like everyhing in lower Manhattan was on fire

It was a bad year for me and all of us ! I lost my son, his mother, and others then i woke up and saw that. All i could think, please tell ME God this is a bad dream.
I cried for days about all those people who were just put in the same situation.
god bless them all, and our troops who keep fight for our freedom.

I remember my partner coming in my office and telling me to get out here and watch this on TV, a few hours later my cell phone rings and I am told to suit up your assigned to NYPD Search and Recovery, the site and smell will forever be with me, after searching for about a day I decided to sit on a curb and try and get some sleep when a picture of a young girl and her Dad blew between my legs, I picked the picture up and thought this girls Dad might be in there, so back in I went, after the third day I posted the picture on a board in NY.
