He is always there at the dock for that quick moment of prayer before the race, and that moment of thanks afterwards.

i am sure he will be. we make sure he is at every race. us and our families need him. i have people say the dont believe, Jim then speaks to them and all I hear is Wow, this guy is special.
he helped me through all the hard times, and the great time we have. i enjoy his company at anytime

You know JIM's a man of fatih when he puts his arms around George Eisenhart & Tyler Crockett Prior to a race and asked the man to bless & keep these two safe and out of harms way.The task would be much eaiser if TYLER wasn't throttling But JIM doesn't let that shake him.So far he's batting 100%. Thank you Jim and all you've done to make us all believe in a higher power. I do apoligize however for Tyler Making change out of the collection Hat. GrumpyG

He is a wonderful person and has a great family to go with it. Had many great times with him at the races and his words just before the race have kept me on even heal going into the races.

Jim too has helped me recently during the worst time in my life. Jim if you are listening, Thank you.

Although I am not actively racing boats anymore when I was, I too have always felt that Jim Black is a true Angle here on Earth. He has always been such a great inspiration at every race and I have often reflected back on his race day sermons and remembered things that he said and laughed often too from his great sense of humor....
Jim is a true asset to all of us here! If you don't know him, try and get to know him, as you will benefit from knowing him…
