Why For Sale

anyone want to comment on y the world wide fountains r for sale, might be time for a new ride for Team Wanted

Wahoo ATV 12-02-2008 07:46 AM

May be because they dominated everything possible. As they always say, "Go out on top"

Wazzup Racing 12-02-2008 08:46 AM

Maybe because they have two. The one they raced in KW is brand new. Rigged with Ilmors and #6's. I think that is the one for sale. I heard a price, and it was pretty fair. Bill, call me if you want the contact phone #. Smitty

This one is off the point but related to Worldwide Fountain....

I began to wonder how US Team store their race boats at Europe while being on break from season? I mean I have no idea how they store at Europe. Do they have a property to store or rent a storage to store race boat? Like Worldwide Fountain is being stored in Poole, UK and Lucas Oil being stored in Italy (I think)...

I believe that is the "41".... isn't it (the SL)? ---- same bottom as the 43' race boats.

I rode in it last week in RI and am still talking about how great of a bottom/ride it is. Very impressive. No wonder the 43's did so well this year!

Phenomeal job Mike, Paul and everyone involved. Also, it's great to see how involved with the clientelle you both are.

It was a pleasure meeting you... looking forward to my first OL!!!!!! (you heard it here 1st! :ernaehrung004: ).

... and they're choked down quite a bit with the new merc. quiet exhaust, small tube headers and small tail pipes.

i would presume if all of that was removed and run with large tube headers straight out the back, you'd see an additional 3-4 MPH, easily.

I still can't believe how much of a better ride it is than ANYTHING else I've been in.

Awesome to hear Joe!! I dont think people realize it but the 41SL is probably the best vee bottom out there!! There is nothing like it!! OL did an amazing job with this boat. I also cant believe it hasnt sold yet??!! I cant wait to see how the new 36 turns out.

You know.... we were amazed that Chris's phone didn't ring as we went buzzing by you guy's place. He says one of you two almost always see/hear it when a go-fast is buzzing around out there! LOL......

FYI ---- I saw your Glad. at OP... what a clean boat ----- really nice!

What makes it the best, is determined on what the boat is intended for..OL makes a great boat, but so does Nor-Tech, Cig and Hustler. Nothing is selling, it's the economy, and none of the OL are bargin priced to begin with, and then you have some of the undesirable dealers to deal with that are not above board. The 36 I believe also to be a good marketing stratogy if priced right. That has yet to be seen over the years. The days of getting 250-300k more for a epoxy resin baked infused hull are gone. That is the only difference between OL and the others...and when it comes down to it...is it really worth it, there are draw backs to it as well. Jeff

You MUST be talking about the person who just sold my little ski boat (me), right? :ernaehrung004:

....Oh, no ----- I guess you are talking about Chris. haha. :drink:

Seriously... yes, there is no way to stick around in this business selling Cigarettes for 25 years without having integrity and actually caring about people (which is very clear with Chris). Maybe his next 25 years will be selling OL's (although he is getting to be a crusty ol' guy ---- maybe we should shoot for "12" more years ------ haha. only kidding Chris....).
