I just looked at the schedule and it appears that the Miss Geico team will not be coming back to Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. :(

Thanks for the huge turn out last year. The Chamber of Commerce was very impressed... When I spoke with the Chamber they said they wanted to make it even bigger and better for 2009. Without the big show coming to town I do not know how that will be possible...

The schedule leaves these 3 OPA races for 2009:

Ocean City, Md

St. Clair, MI

Patchogue, NY.

Is it safe to say that St. Clair will now be the 3rd stop for the Triple Crown ?

Will there even be a Triple Crown Series this year? :confused:

My only hope I have left for Point Pleasant Beach is in the fine print at the bottom of the schedule page, "All races and dates are subject to change".

They obviously did not update the banner to say 2009.

I don't believe Geico raced with OSS in Jupiter in 2008 ...

With the growing moment that Point has had, it would really be depressing to see the numbers drop off...

The town has finally seen just what can be brought in. They could only imagine how much better it would have been had we not had the Tropical Storm come thru on Saturday... :(
