How to build a canopy lid in 12 easy steps..
Step 1: Ask Ryan Beckley.. this save a **** load of time. :drink:
http://i44.tinypic.com/2zrpyea.jpg We than took a think plastic sheet and bent it over the opening to make a part from. http://i44.tinypic.com/okamiv.jpg I Than laid a sheet of cloth over the part to help it hold it's shape after I un-screwd it. http://i44.tinypic.com/261kwa1.jpg We than took the parts and wraped them with 5 or 6 sheets of cloth and some expoy thats pretty strong (and pricey) http://i39.tinypic.com/2vcar5t.jpg |
The black line is were the finish part will be cut to
http://i39.tinypic.com/2h8d7p1.jpg I Than took a router and cut the notch for the lid to sit into. I drilled a guide bolt into the base of the router so I could set my width. Check all the canopy dust.. http://i44.tinypic.com/23t16pl.jpg Fits perfect!, Now I just need some hardware (on the way) - and finish paint.. http://i43.tinypic.com/zup6rb.jpg |
