AB,

I agree with you. Looks like we will have to try again and meet sometime soon!!!

It's nice to see OPA and OSS joint together to make races more fun and I have not seen OSS in St. Clair since 2006. I hope to have bigger boat count next year at St. Clair!

Hey Paul,

No, I didnt get a ride in JD BYRIDER. They had a mechanical problem on right engineduring their test run and they were trying to find parts to replace. I spoke with Mark about 2 hours before the race, they dont know if boat is a go for the race as they havent tested after problem was fixed. JD BYRIDER got huge and good lead at the beginning of the race until they had to drop out of the race due water line popped out on right engine. So all I can say is that it was just happened, that's all. But all I know is that Tony will hold until it is my time to ride in JD BY RIDER.

However, I had soooo much fun hanging out with Tony and his team. They are beyond awesome I ever seen in my life and I can not even describe........

Chris

Sorry to hear about that Chris - know you were looking forward to that, but also too bad for JD Byrider to break during the race on Sunday. Hope you get your ride soon.

Hey all, long time watcher, not too many posts. I would just like to say that the St. Clair race is something that I have been going to since 1996. This race , like most have said before has the best fan viewing and up close and personal feel of any race out there. While some of the big boys didn't make it this year, I thought the racing was great, the weather was perfect, the croud was large and everyone had a great time. Congrats to all the winners and we all hope this event continues to grow in the future and be the must attend event for all the teams next year. Maybe if some of us big fans start drumming up sponsership now, we can rent a Bat Boat next year, LOL.

I do not feel bad that I didn't get a chance to ride in JD BYRIDER.....I know that every team really want to make sure boat is totally ready for the race. I know that Tony and Mark felt bad that I didn't get a ride but I told them not to feel bad. What important to me is that I had so much fun and had a chance to get to know Tony more. I felt more connected with Tony now than before. His daughter Olivia is sooo beautiful and had so much fun with my 3 year old daughter Jennifer! I really want to thank Tony and his team for letting me get up close to his boat when warming up engines and all that. I learned a lot and still want to learn MORE!

I know that I will have myself in JD BYRIDER sooner than you think :ernaehrung004:

Andy,

Thank you for the compliment. It was nice to meet you too. Sunday was a chaotic day. I was on shore for Race 1. On Turn-boat 3, for Race 2, and the Sunsation F-4 pace boat, for Race 3. I'm now just starting to sort through the races :(. I did not arrive home till Mid-day Tuesday, then had the wonderful experience, of dealing with Flash Flooding all day Tuesday, which has been on the News across the Nation. I have to admit, I've never seen images of Churchill Downs, under water..

It was nice meeting you Chris. Amazing thing is I have talked to Chris only once on the phone, had no idea what he actually looked like, and was down by the crane (oposite end of the pits from jd byrider) and saw this guy walking down the sidewalk with the biggest grin I have ever seen and thought, that HAS to be Chris! Sure enough....
