Joker Powerboats/CRC 611 heads to Ocean City, MD
News from CRC Motorsports Team of the Month, Smith Brothers Offshore Racing: Ocean City, here we come! The first race of the 2012 Amsoil Offshore Powerboat Racing Series is this weekend in Ocean City, Maryland. The Offshore Powerboat Association sanctioned series will bring the speed and excitement of over 30 high performance racing boats to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
Smith Brothers Offshore Racing Team will be bringing their 26’ Joker Powerboat, “Joker Powerboat/CRC” to battle the teams of the highly competitive Class 6. “Our boat is built to run in the rough waters of the ocean, so we are looking forward to a great race,” said Pete Smith, the driver of the boat. “The ocean is where this sport got its start, where you are not only battling the other teams, but the changing conditions of the water as well.”
The Joker Powerboat/CRC 611 team has seen some changes over the off season with the addition of CRC Industries joining the team as a sponsor. “CRC is a great fit for us, they have an extensive line of products that we use everyday to maintain our race boat and our support vehicles,” says Rich Smith, the throttleman for the team. “Through their CRC, CRC Marine and Marykate brands, CRC Industries produces every performance chemical we need to keep our equipment running and looking good.”
