Recommended GPS for mph???
 

I'm not trying to break the bank, nor do I need chart plotting. What's everyone using??

They are discontinued now but I have always found the Garmin 162(non-downloadable) and 172(downloadable) to be very affordable and has a pretty large split screen of instant and tattletale. Me personally, I like the large display numbers so I can see them quicker and get back to the job at hand. Even though they are discontinued, you can usually find them on ebay in the 200 range

I used the digital speedo from Perfect pass last year in conjunction with a garmin....found it to be pretty damn quick and dead nuts on with Garmin....only broke out once in st. Clair, but that was whoz your daddy's fault...lol:lolhit:

Make sure its one you can turn the buffering "off" on. Makes a huge difference for how fast the unit responds.
