No East Tawas race next year? What happened? That was one of the best and most receiving crowds I've witnessed in years for an OPA event.

Yeah...also bummed for no Tawas...enjoyed that race site

Will Ocean City World Championships have 2 days of racing or Racing only on Sunday ???

Undetermined at the time. Will be announced at a later date if it is going to be a one-day race event or a two-day race event.

If theres anything that the racers can do to help make it a two day let us know :)

Tawas had struggled last two years raising money. Shame but it is what it is.

I am quite surprised that there is no race in Tawas 2014, people who live there, they enjoyed OPA race very much and wanted it to come back.....Sucks...

Being from the Tawas area,there are numerous perspectives to this, all of which I am sure have merit. I do know that the Town, Chamber and organizers were shocked with OPA pulling out from the event. If information that has been communicated to wit is factual, then it appears that contractual interpretation differences in the four year commitment have led to the elimination of this event from the schedule. Truly a loss for all......

Where is a good place to stay in Ocean City to be near the races?

Atlantic Hotel or the Commander Hotel are both great spots

If you really want OPA to race in Tawas in the near future....please let me know and I can see what I can do to help put back on the track. My parents know many people from Tawas so it might be a good network to make this happen again.
