Atlantic City Results

Where are the results for the races at Atlantic City?

That said, I have tried to become a more engaged fan of OPA Racing, but it has been difficult. Sometimes it takes so long to see any results, news, or stories from the races that it has almost become non-relavent by the time that they are posted. I would think that in order to grow interest and grow OPA that this would be important to get out in a timely manner. Nascar is not just about cars going in circles, but it is about the story lines that come out of each weeks races (thats why sponsors pay for all of the pre-shows and after-shows). If a sponsor or fan goes to the OPA website, the Atlantic City race is still "coming". The last post on OPA's facebook was June 18th. Virtually no postings on OSO. If the racers and the organization have nothing exciting to boast about, why would a sponsor get excited?

I am not trying to bust any balls, but you guys have a great thing going that could become even better if you could grow a bigger fan base through a bit of timely marketing (in my opinion). Keeping the excitement of OPA racing a secret will do just the opposite, and will cause struggles over time. Bigger fan bases mean more interested sponsors. More interested sponsors grows the sport. The great thing about it is that websites, facebook, and other social media makes it pretty inexpensive.

Good luck to all, be safe, and we will be looking for any news that you can give us!

Let me refer you to Speedonthewater.com

http://speedonthewater.com/in-the-ne...t=WyJvcGEiXQ==

There were News Stories reported for each day of the Atlantic City Festival of Speed.

Stories on Fathers & Sons race teams was available 1st thing Monday morning and all this while Matt Trulio was on Vacation. Tony Esposito was on site during the entire event . A bit far from Wisconsin but he was there to do the reporting. Matt would then take the time to publish them even though he was on vacation .

The stories may not have all of the results being as they may not have been forwarded in time to go to publish. They typically will wait for the Press Release from OPA.

None the less Tony and I break away from the socializing to go back to prepare our content for the next relevant stories .

Sorry to read you did not see it in real time.

Speedonthewater.com is the number one news reporting website and Digital Magazine for our sport.

Produced by 2 former journalists and editors of the famous Powerboat Magazine with years of experience and trust.

You make some valid points, but to be fair, OPA is a volunteer organization. Dee does a great job doing everything she does, but it is unrealistic to expect results immediately or within a day or two. Nascar, has a full time marketing department with a budget in the millions. I think the comparison is acorns and watermelons. If you search facebook for the the OPA teams you will find more up to date post race info posted pretty quick.

I have found that when dealing with a predominant volunteer sport ,volunteering you,re time, tends to help speed things up .
Perhaps you have a talent that can be used to make things come off a little faster,
plus youll have more fun being part of what you seem to enjoy . Boat Racing .

Good things
