Detroit Race
Great time was had by us, fantastic racing with Simmons, great food. Huge thanks to Wes Wyatt and all of OPA and the volunteers for making it happen. We will be back next year!
On a different note, our thoughts and prayers are with Clint's family, friends and all of the Steady Pumpin Team. Rest easy brother. |

Detroit was a fantastic event. The people who came out to watch on Sunday were a mix of race fans and casual observers who asked our team members alot of questions. They really seemsed to enjoy it. We had a great time. We are looking forward to being back in 2015.

All of the race teams that came out put on a hell of a show. I hope next year they get you guys a better place to pit... I am sure the storm Friday didn't help matters..... We walked the pits Saturday Evening (after testing) and Sunday morning. We got to talk to a few of the teams on Saturday and that was really cool. Sunday we just quickly walked thru and figured everyone was trying to get their game face on, plus we had to get out to our patrol positions.... Thanks again OPA and all of the teams!

Honestly, if Long Island had not been cancelled we most likely would not have gone, but things worked out for the best. We had a great time at a fledgling site and we're glad we went. As Smitty pointed out my truck needs a bath from the pits being a bit dusty ;-) ,but what a great site. We will be back. I wish we hadn't screwed the pooch but it was still very worth the long drive. Thanks Wes and everyone involved, for all your hard work so we can go play with our toys.
Thanks for the feed Steve Kuhr, your family and friends are terrific. RIP Clint, is all I can muster on the loss of such a terrific guy . Truly sad. BW |
