It was awesome to see some one stop for us, many boats went buy and it was a scary feeling wondering if they could see us and not hit us. That water was COLD and I assure you with out a life vest I would have sank! I don't recomend anybody getting thrown out of a boat, IT SUCKS, and is painful, I feel like I was run over by a truck. No damage to the boat and we'll be in Key West. Thanks to OPA for a great effort and all the sweep boats for clearing all the crap off the course.

PS I went to the chiropractor and had seven Vertebra out of alignment, feeling much better now that I can walk straight.

BJ, Just for the OPA rescue record book. How long would you say you were in the water before getting picked up? I was real close and I thing Boffa Deez had you out of the water in less than one minute. Does that sound right to you?

Way to go Boffa Deezz for showing concern for your fellow racers!Those turns were real tight...a spin out waiting to happen.That Activator was really flying before the accident!.Glad too see everyone come out of this O.K....and its great to hear that BJ and his team will be in Key West.

I would say a minute is accurate. It seemed like FOREVER, I don't know if I could say enough times "THAT WATER WAS COLD" it's very hard to breath in that kinda water.

BJ, let me say again that I'm glad you and Vic are OK. Chiropractors are wonderful people!

Boffa Deezz made an outstanding move in stopping and picking you guys up. Way to go guys. Swipes spent all day Saturday next to them and they are just as great in the pits.

I understand that OPA has some sort of award in order for the Boffa Deezz Boyz. As well as their finish was adjusted on the race coarse. Smitty

We hung out with John and his wife, Matt, and John's master mechanic all weekend....and at the poker run a few weeks ago. They are a great bunch of guys who would help anyone!!

John and Matt are not members here, however I told them what everyone has posted and made copies for Matt. They appreciate the Thanks and hope that they can show everyone else that even though we are all competitors and want the win, we have to help each other out.

I have known THem for about 8 yrs and John was my throttleman when I raced. THey have done this a few times, back when they ran F-1.

Just thank GOD that everyone was alright!

BJ & Vic, let me say first I am very glad you guys are healthy.
Boffa Deeze are great guys. I saw them in action as Ron Polli was screaming in my ear and pointing "go over there". We were floating inside the turn about 100 yards away and it just happened so fast. We were just floating with the engines off and by the time we started and made our way over there, Boffa Deeze had you guys out. WOW was that breath taking. It may have felt like eternity but those guys were fast at your side. Glad you guys are ok. See you in Key West.
