Re: wild card
The wildcard has a diffferent engine hatch, and has side by side seating for the front bolsters instead of split seating.

Boat still looks great! It's new home is in Upstate NY, will be living inside from now on, and in fresh water. Was just going through as many threads as I can seeing what I can learn. So, there is a distinction from Stiletto to "Wild Card" from factory? I just thought that was the name of the boat! Lernin-t-fly, will give you a call some time, didn't want to bug you around the holiday lol.. Wildthing if you have any more old pics that would be awesome! Curious what the boat looked like before the new paint. Thanks guys

Was that Steve Balthazar’s when new? Not many were mostly white. |
I’m not sure the original owners name, but pretty sure I heard it originally was on west coast would that make sense? I just bought the boat about a month ago so in the process of learning the history. Paint is totally different now, I tried to post a pic but apparently I haven’t posted enough on here yet to be able to do that haha |
Nope, Steve was east coast, Massachusetts. Good luck with the boat. I was looking for a 37 for a while, couldn’t find what I wanted. |
That was Steve’s boat based on the HIN number.

Oh cool, I spoke to Jeff? I think his name is at Competition Marine said he did the conversion to the 6s and was going to get me some pictures but I haven’t heard back. So it was originally bravos assuming, was it staggered originally? What was original power? Interesting to me learning about the history of the boat. Thanks guys! |

Nice boat. My cousin owned her for a couple years on LOTO. We took it to KW for the poker run 2011. He had the engines refreshed when he bought it. It had the competition marine engines in it at that time. Believe HP was around 800-900 per if I remember correct. I think there are some videos on you tube of her, that’s the owner before my cousin. We spent a lot of time in her on the lake. Acceleration was awesome. Very cool, fun boat. Enjoy her. Glad to see it’s getting loved still. Congrats! |
Donziben thanks! Do you remember what he was seeing top speed back then? I’ve only been behind the wheel for a grand total of about 20 minutes so far before the upstate ny winter closed in on me haha. Didn’t push it too hard till I learn the boat. Can’t wait for spring! |
Greg (lernin-t-fly's dad) told me Wild Card was 100mph boat every day and I think he said on its best days it would run 107-108 mph.

Cool thank you!

Best we ever seen was 107mph. It would run 100mph with 4 people on board all the time. It would start to get a little loose feeling around 102-103, nothing to crazy. He had two different size props, can’t remember the diameter and pitch. Interior and cabin looked pretty much the same when he had it as wild things pics. Except the dash panels were painted to match boat. |
I remember way back w/ blown bbc's and bravos the boat would run 108-9mph,,couple of times we would change the pulley's and jack up the boost and hit 114mph but it would eat up the bravos pretty quick.think I remeber them saying,1 time the best it ever saw was 118mph.
I'll check on the last top speed, but pretty sure thats what my friend said about that run.jason ventura may remember may have some info on it too. |
