Re: Outerlimit guys
OOOOOOO Im not a platinum member big ****in deal, and for you mr. Hillbilly24 Yes my Dad is my Business partner he has helped me, but I got my first house when I was 18, I saved since I was a little kid and have my money working for me. And I dont care if I stir up **** obviousley you guys are making it a bit worst then what I intended, You guys have some good points and I know I do. I argue about **** all the time for fun even with friends, so at the beggining of this thread I meant no harm. And hey Fast fountain35 why dont you change ur name now. Yeah yeah I know GM owns Corvette, and I know Reggie is a cocky little ****. Bottom line is all you guys arent used to people stirring up ****, and I noticed everytime I talked about winning races and dollar for dollar, all you guys changed the subject. And the name calling is general nothing personal, if it hurts ur feelings well Im sorry but if it really does than your a *****!!! Trust me it doesnt hurt my feelings that Im the bad guy and everyone is against me, I aint crying like a girl. The only rason you guys say and think I got told by a girl is that your on her side.

Re: Outerlimit guys
I said my piece in ym forst reply to you and this will be my last.
Your right, were not used to people stirring it up around here, that's not what this forum is about. And if you think it makes you more of man becuase your don't care when people publicly call you an idiot, well then grow up. It doesn't "hurt my fellings" , it pisses me off and is a huge statement of your chartcher. Now for one last jab at ya for fun, you didn't buy your own house when you were 18, unless it was a doublwide. There is just no possible way that in the recent market you came up with a downpaymwnt for a house on your own at the age of 18. If you had help from your parents, that's great and I aint mad at you for it, it's just not something to brag about. |

Re: Outerlimit guys
Like I said I really truth fully didnt mean to stir up that much ****. Im not really braging about having my own house but rather that Im not like most other young people I know what it takes to be successful. Oh and yes I made a mistake by including Hustlers in the lake boats. I wont be an ass anymore but you guys do all kinda remind me of the media, always blowin things out of praportion, and makin a bigger deal out of nothin. For the tenth time I was just tryin to have a friendly disscusion about boats and opions, and not about personal name calling.

Class in Session: HISTORY 101
1) The Huslter Sport 32 was used to make the 37 OL. Paul Fiore started Hustler, Mike started OL. 2) Pantera, huge HUGE history in RACING! In 1978 Pepe Nunez in his 24 Pantera set the Miami to New York outboard record powered with the # 2 and # 3 2.4 Mercury outboards ever built. FYI-There is no winning in racing. I forgot that I had the below pic. $50.00 1st Prize. Holy Crap! |
Re: Outerlimit guys
Not to mention the other "lake boats" that you metioned are some of the finest built west coast boats out there. Eliminator is an icon in the industry and they do build some "offshore" boats. what do you call a 36 that does 140 plus ? They are the only ones that I know of to go 100 mph with stock 496's too. Nordic builds some very high quality boats, and they are borderline offshore, it depends on your defenition. They are one of the few builders that build their entire boat in house, from windscreen, to interior, to the trailer. Advantages are a nice boat as well in their piece of the market, they are not trying to compete with OL or founain, that's not their buisness. You are comparing apples and oranges. As you can see if you would just chill out and act like a normal grown person, wich you claim to be, you can learn alot around here and make some good friends. This isn't your average forum, we are actually constructive around here. When you come in and start stirring a pot that your not realy even involved in, it's gonna agitate some people, including myself. The best thing you could do from here is delete this thread, then go introduce yourself over in the General boating discussion forum, you will find people around here are pretty cool and there is alot of info regarding the history of boat builders and offshore racing available to you. Take advantage of it instead of irritating averyone in her.

BTW...I've been on OLs and Fountains...completely different boats, no doubt about which one I'd pick. I could own a Fountain, but dream of OLs. |
Re: Outerlimit guys
Oh, one more thing. I was one of the first people to own a Nordic on the east coast. Most high performance boaters were surprised when they saw the structural and cosmetic design, quality of materials, fit and finish, custom crasftsmanship, and unique features of the boat. There are also a few 35s on Long Island Sound which gets as snotty as anywhere else and they're doing quite well on it. Your "lake boat" statement shows your ignorance and lack of maturity when delivering an opinion.
Sooo...come here to learn and to make friends like many of our other younger members, OR, STFU and stay off the board and save your banter for your IPOD buddies  |

Re: Outerlimit guys
I didnt really bash on anybodys boat I started a fun little argument and you people turned it into a personal insult thats not my fault, yes I probably said some harsh things that I shouldnt of, I admit it. I realize now that I cant do that with you people, I never did say that Nordic, Eleminator and Advantages were bad boats. The ignorance in this all is that you people dont read what I write very carefully. I to run my own business. Bottom line is I am here to make friends believe it or not. Like I said this thing obviousley got out of hand, I love boats and people. Truthfully I was just trying to have some fun with the OL people thats all, and for the 100th time I meant no personal harm by it. I understand how you guys are I learned early and am not gonna do it anymore.
Peace!!!!!!!!!! |

I bought my first house at 20, but with help and I'm not to proud to say it, I had parents that gave me a hand up and I appreciate them for it, and they have been repayed. What bothered me about the guys statments was that he came out of nowhere, bashing on boats that many of us consider great boats, you never bash on another mans pride on joy, it's just rude. I would love to own alot of the boats that he speeks so poorly of, One day I would love to own a 28 Pantera and that would be enough for me, I could even handle the 2-3 year wait for a new one that's suppost to take 6 months :D . It was the attitude and the complete lack of common courtesy that got me going on him, I just don't beleive in calling people idiot, or stupid or anything to that effect, meesing around with people you know is one thing but calling a complete stranger an idiot is just rude, as is bashing on the boat that another man payed alot of money for and loves.

Re: Outerlimit guys
Finally, it's over. Now let's get some gas in our boats and hit the water!
Nicely said fastfountain35! I'm sure I'll see ya around! You coming the NYC Poker Run? Welcome to the board tnothin! |
Re: Outerlimit guys
Thanks guys I never meant to be the ass that I might of been, it was just my opion, and I took a chance by creating this thread, oh well it backfired.
Yeah gas that is one thing I can hardly afford now a days. And Outerlimits are some serious bad ass boats, But I will always be a Fountain man. Mainly in part that, well I never mentioned before and you might think Im being full of **** but seriously, My family is from North Carolina, my grandma used to baby sit Reggie Fountain, and yes she tells me stories. And my Dads uncle was good friends with Reggie, they both went to the University of North Carolina. So in a way it is somewhat of an inside opion if you know what I mean.Oh and I would like to see more OLs but Im here on the west coast just outside of Sacramento and there is only one that I know of and hes from Fresno. Hillbilly24 so you live in So. Cal so you must of heard of the California delta, that is were I do 90% of my boating that and the Sac. river and bay. |
Re: Outerlimit guys
actually I recently moved to florida, but I have spent alot of time on the delta. A freind of mines family owns Herman and Helens and we used to go up there a few times year and do the houseboat thing. Spent many a drunken nights at lost isle. That was prime stomping grounds for me when I had my Hondo (little potato chip boat, that was way to fast for it's own good) I needed FLAT water to run that thing and I could always find it at the Delta.

Re: Outerlimit guys
"so young so angry"
tnothin, If you are a boathing enthusiast there is much more available from this website than you can imagine. Be an asset to it not a ass. |
Re: Outerlimit guys
"But lets face it an Outerlimits will never ever be as good as a Fountain."
"Why dont you scrubs go try and race em in SBI. And who would spend a million dollars on a over priced piece when you can spend half and kick its ass." "Just havin some fun with you pusseys, obviously it affends you old men on viagra." "And you cant say Fountains arent bad ass and dont look good." "And lapseofreason you probably already are an idiot!!!! Fastfountain35 you did respond to this thread and you know you wanted to and you can kiss my A$$" And this is only from the 1st page of this thread. I just want you to see what you said. And yes, we would all like to see a picture of your boat and where you do your boating, cause that is one of the more enjoyable aspects of this site. On another note, I met Reggie back in 1985. I went to the plant when my father was discussing w/ Reg about building a 40ft fishing boat. But the 8ft beam didn't lend itself to what my father was looking for. Then Reggie invited us to go water skiing w/ him w/ his bud who was a world champion skiier. Then we went to dinner with him and some guys from the plant. Lastly he had us spend the night at his house. He was overly hospitalble. What a nice guy. His boats are very fast, but the finishing touches on them is not up to par w/ some of the custom builders IMO. And I also think the Fountains w/ big windshields are not badass. With the low plexiglass they look much better, like the executioners. We can all have our opinions, there is just a proper way to state them. Enjoy the site. |

Re: Outerlimit guys
All I can say is I guess thats how I am young, bold, blunt and sometimes crazy. Even with my boat their are some flaws then again no boat is perfect it is a high quality well built boat but might lack a tiny bit of fit and finish. They do have one fast bottom though. Hillbilly24 lost Isle is a great place isnt it. I love the Delta, we are doin the Poker Run out there on Saturday.
