Yup. Thats my old 1998 37 OuterLimits. I see you changed the hatch from a sunpad to a hatch with scoops. She looks great. I hope you are really enjoying it. My best run was 114mph with 5 pob, 1.36 gears, 4 blade round ear bravo props.

How much power do you have now?
What the max rpm.
What gears and props.
What top speed.

Quote: Talk to JoeD on here. He has tried a number of props on his 37OL 5 blades and 4 blades.
He said single step Kenny, not a Quad Step.
Plus, they got different drives.

Now ........

Quote: 1.48 drive ratio, 5200rpm, 100mph, 32 prop
thats 6% slip! can't be right!

1.48 drive ratio, 3400rpm, 65mph, 32 prop
thats 8% slip! can't be right

check your data, I would expect more rpm to get those speeds with a 32 prop, with 1.48 ratio

What rpm range is the motor built for? What is the rev limiter set at?

Its a great boat at any speed, but I am thinking 110mph for #5s and 860hp a side. Remember the 37 with 900sc, #6 runs 117ish.

Post a pic of you ride.
Keep in mind that Mercury #6 props are not true to stamped pitch. They are actually about 2 inches TALLER than they are stamped. Hering props are true to stamped pitch as are Rolla and TU CNC's.
