Default Speed on 42 Epoxy legacy with 800's

looking at no dicipline, wondering what she should run with the merc 800's, what do the 42's weigh? prop size/pitch. boat looks perfect andhas one of the best paint jobs I've ever seen

That boat is not an epoxy boat. It is the first 42, but it should run about 110 give or take a few. I would think more of a take after you load all your crap in. Awsome boat, I looked at buying it a few years ago.

A buddy of mine has an epoxy trip 525's only seeing 97mph.

If not epoxy then is it carbon, what would the weight be? have they changed the bottom or top on the 42 over the years.

I was told a newer 42 with merc 850's and 6's runs 110-114. Depending on conditions.

I'm gonna guess the NoDisc. is an all glass boat ... and with 2 800 Mercs. will be under 100 ... but what do I know ?!?!?!

was told there was a article in one of the powerboat mag's that tested it and it ran 106-108, spoke with a guy at the lake this weekend, had merc 850's and it had 114 mph on the tattletale, smoking fast in fresh water with high temps and humidity. does a merc 800 put out 50 less hp than the 850 merc?

the Merc 800 is actually closer to 750 then 800 in stock form ... that was always one of my favs back when it came out btw !
