51 w/ triple 700's
How fast is this setup? Noticed Lake Cumberland has 2 08's rigged this way so it must be a good combo.

72 people looked at this with no response? Anyone, anyone, Bueller, Bueller......

I would also assume a lot less maintenance cost's/longer service intervals then say a pair of 1075's, for similar overall performance

the 2150HP 1075 boats hit 110, do you think the third leg in the water will slow it down that much? I think the triple 700 boat would be a great alternative to the twin 1075 boats as long as it breaks 100 and can plane on two motors/ run 50-60 on two. Maintenance savings is just gravy if it planes/runs on two. |
A 50' Hustler powered with the same trip 700's barely breaks 100..The 51 OL is 5 - 7 mph faster with same motor set up. There was an article with same setup on both boats using the 600's, 96 for the OL and 90 for the Hustler.

So I'm a liar? Different CG, X dimension.... and yes, 110mph. This was salt water, not lake water, 2 people, approx. 1/2 filled gas. Would just kiss the rev limit, meaning it was propped perfect.
man, what an excellent number..:cool:anything special to motors, props, etc..thanks Jeff |
