You're not messing around, JMS! Ha, just stumbled on this thread and sounds like you've got the right boats in mind. If you'd settle for an old, tired 38 Scarab I might know a guy... keep us posted and good luck. Probably be some deals out there come this fall. Q

Q, your boat is beautiful, at least what I've seen of it and the candy on it is usually top notch too. I still need to off my boat to make this happen on a cash basis. Right know I'm just looking, seeing what's out there and where my best bang for my buck will be, unless someone wants to take mine on trade. I haven't rulled out the Stiletto yet. Going on the guys at PBB, they say I won't be happy with a Stiletto. TG TS is at the top of my short list, followed by PowerPlay and Active Thunder. What ever I get it's going to have to be the right boat with the right power and some balance to keep MrsJMS happy. I'll be at the LOTO tomorrow thru Tuesday, give me a call if your around. Should be over at Dorcey's Sat. night for the Baja deal, since I still own one. Stop by for a drink, I'll get the first round.

I think you would be happy with the stilleto, sounds like it has everything that you are looking for. I think the ride is great- it is a wave crusher yet fast with mild power. It handles like it is on rails, tracks straight, and turns well. I think the single step is a great design, it feels as stable as a straight bottom but faster.

Also, you can't beat the cabin. Plenty of headroom and nicest in class. There are some really nicely optioned 37s out there- A/C, heat, generator, shorepower, etc, etc. In my opinion, go with a twin boat with ext boxes, stay away from tripps.

I really like the powerplays, they look sharp. Never rode in one but have heard a lot of praise from people who have. I like that they have a deep cockpit and a big cabin, that is also what drew me to the OL.
