Beautiful boat! Is there ANY usable space in the cabin? Storage looks to be at a premium.

There is no cabin in the 42 GTX's.

Lot of boat for the money. Why does the hull sit so close to the trailer?

Wideopen30 11-25-2010 09:50 PM

Where has the boat been since Mr. Applegate passed away in 06?

I think it was tied up for a while after his passing then the bank sold it to the guy in TN and now its at Shogrens.

I have been the owner of the GTX for the last couple of years, after a couple for 42 Fountains one with 575’s and the other with 900’s I wanted a set down boat. This GTX was the “Jus Trucking” boat of the late Scott Applegate which has a lot of history from the east coast. I never had the oppourinity to meet Scott but from what I have been told and read was a great person with a passion for running hard in Poker Runs. Over the last couple of years we have spent a lot of time and money on the boat getting it back in shape and looking good. We have run the boat mostly in the Southeast at PR and some local boating in the Nashville Tennessee area. The GTX is one truly great boat to drive and it is very forgiving when you make a mistake. The boat cruises at 100 and will run 120. We have purchased another 42 Fountain with 850’s it fits the type of boating we are currently doing. If you have question about the boat contact Scott or Greg at Shogren Performance. I would like to thank Eric, Allen, Jerry and Troy for all the help in getting the boat back in shape. I know that Scott Applegate would proud of the condition of the boat as it set today, along with so many of his friends from the East Coast. Good luck to the next owner.

The engines are still the same setup as when Dean built them. We redone them at the first of the year at EB's

I talked to Mitch the other day, it didn't sound good for the KY Lake Poker Run. Do you think someone else will pick it up and do it?

Group Effort

Maybe he needs a little help. Why not just keep things around the docks and not run so far south and have a few stops. I need to give you a call Jeff and get down your way.

I'm sure there are a lot of people that feel the same way. Then again, I'm sure if it had a cabin it wouldn't be priced this low either. :drink:

I missed out on the event that year...Sounded like a scheduled fight and a poker run broke out instead. Your correct the Tennessee group will get our of control some times. The Cops came to our cabin's this year, and told us we were keeping people up at the lodge. It was a mile away.:party-smiley-020

"Deal Pending", who's the lucky buyer?

Quinlan 12-15-2010 04:19 PM

So anybody step up yet?

SLOWRIDE-388 12-15-2010 06:05 PM

That boat is sweet, it would be ours if we didn't already have a 42. Great price for a great boat. It is a 9 if not 10 in person. Very nice setup for a GTX. Would be fun on LOTO.

Shallow Minded 12-15-2010 07:14 PM

It would be mine if I didn't need so much room for coolers!!! :coolcowboy:

Now, with that boat you wouldn't need THAT many coolers unless you were coveing for the day. But who would want to do that with this boat. Besides its kinda hard to swallow any liquids at 100+ unless your using a sippy cup.:drink:

Make it happen Quint, we need some more OLs at the lake.

Quinlan 12-16-2010 04:18 AM

I wouldnt be embarressed w a sippy cup while eatn up LOTO.
OR maybe a NIPPLE on my beer bottle!!

the bear 12-16-2010 08:38 AM

Come on Quint.....do it!!

the bear 12-16-2010 08:40 AM

Great deals on those things....

SLOWRIDE-388 12-16-2010 05:44 PM

Another OL from the east... the midwest is going to be flooded with these things. Nice piece, looked at it when ECFC had it. Another good buy....

Shallow Minded 12-16-2010 07:51 PM

Another good looking GTX... I guess I could just get one of those hats with a beer can holder on each side. :lolhit:

Ben / Bear, I'll get there someday, just give me a little time!

Von Bongo 12-16-2010 08:56 PM

Well. I know 2 things, based on the price of some of these boats I should start getting serious about buying a boat and there are a lot of sellers out there still thinking it's spring of 2007
