850x3 = 2550 HP
That's 255 gallons per hour flat out,
or only 120 gallons per hour at cruise.

Original owner used the boat 200 hours in 4 years, so burned through about 120x200 or 24000 gallons.

You'll notice.

Craney 03-09-2011 05:56 PM

What is a short sale???

pitts1313 03-09-2011 07:37 PM

"Short sale" is selling price falls short of what is owed on the item. Either the seller or the bank is going to absorb the difference. Maybe the seller intended for a "quick sale". Not many would advertise the fact they are short selling.

Wasn't that Scott Applegates boat? What speed could one expect from that boat? Seems like a killer price!

Craig

PS- That 50 NT is a very nice boat....but I think that it'll be a tough sell with those trip 850's and the current fuel prices!!

Are you sure about your #'s?

24,000 gallons of fuel is 100K in fuel.........seems really high.

Yes that was Scott's and can not believe someone has not jumped on it yet.

As for the triple NT, she might get thirsty but u can always get on plan and finish a run if there happen to be an issue with one of the three.

Not that there has bin any issues over the past 4 years, but it was very comforting on the make a wish run to the Bahamas a couple years ago thru the 12 footers...

Thats really mind boggling to think about!! At $4.00 a gallon and running the boat for 1 hour flat out you would spend $1000!! Im guessing the typical poker run would cost at least $3000-$4000 in fuel for 1 weekend!

That would be a nice Family Boat for me but....

wananewboat 03-10-2011 03:24 PM

Ask Bob how much it costs to run it, no one puts on more hours than him. Could be why he has diesels now. I thought it was wild when he had both.

:( Rest In Peace... Dave.... :(

I heard something about that this weekend but didn't want to be the first to post it. I heard a lot this weekend but don't know what is true and what is not so I can't elaborate.

Thoughts and prayers to his family.

I thought there weren't supposed to be ads in GD.

WildThing47 03-14-2011 02:53 PM

That fuel number is not accurate. You're presuming all hours on that boat are running hours...you're not taking into account idling, etc. I'd bet with 200hrs, the boat probably did about 30-40k in fuel. Just an educated guess judging what I use a season...these prices are honestly ridiculous...at the prices, why not just run race fuel at the pump...4.00$ for garbage...I'd pay 5 if I could get 100 octane..

I'd run E85+ for 2.00$ a gallon if not cheaper, but of course not..why would anyone want to help the consumer...
