100K Outerlimits
 

There is guy here in Atlanta with a 2000 38' OL with two blown Dart engines making 1000+ hp each and fairly fresh #6's. He needs money to get his business going again and he is looking to sell this boat for 100K. Is this a killer deal on a boat like this? It seem low to me, but I know nothing about these v-hulls. It is very good shape for a 10 year old boat. Any idea's.

that sounds pretty good, if i remember the boat is sitting on a myco trailer as well. Used #6's are going for 50K with gimballs alone so you are basicly buying motors and drives and getting the hull for free.

I have a contract and deposit on the boat and hope to pick it up in 2 weeks. We are putting together a second contract to buy the boat only, no power, although I will say that when we took the boat for the sea trial, the motors ran great, I just already have my own power. If anyone is interested in the motors, let me know, I have all the paper work and the surveyor that went through the boat can vouch for their performance.

Why are you waiting? It sounded like you were not going to go close on the deal. My interest in the boat is the drives. We both know the engines are big buck pieces and fairly new. If you are having second thoughts on the boat, I could probably part it out for more that you offered.

Sounds like somebody needs to pick it up stat.

I did not know you were asking me, sorry. I do have NXT's but would not mind have a pair of 6's siting around for the day I need them.

Turns out this guy has no contract and the boat is still available. He did want the boat but can't come up with the cash. If interested, pm me and I will give you info. If anyone wants the boat minus the drives, maybe we can work a deal, but it runs great with two 1100hp blower motors and #6's. I believe it runs 120+ mph. Dan
