New to me 37, thanks Larry!
Well, I made it back to Chattanooga with Larry Vincent's 37 OL (12 hours) and I just want to say thanks to Larry for a very smooth transaction, start to finish!! Also, for all the hard work he did to get the boat in the condition it is in, the paint is UNBELIEVABLE, it has details that you just can't see in pictures, along with the cockpit redo that looks great as well. I'll be putting YPM engines in it and new drives, I'll update this thread as it comes together. Thanks again Larry!

Thomas! Glad to see you got into a 37 OL brother. That is a beautiful boat, and with your big Eddie Youngs that thing is going to be sick. Congrats!

I'm mostly doing cosmetic stuff right now-- I'm adding a bunch of billet stuff to the cockpit to bling it up and personalize it to our liking. As you know, I'm also going to add the GPS on the port side dash and may change the background color on both sides. I have ordered the vinyl for the door so it will be finished and reinstalled soon. The cabin is almost completly torn apart and being recovered, adding some color. Also may be painting bilge while things are apart although it really doesn't need it as Larry painted it not long ago. Motors - I talked to Eddie a week or so ago, and he told me he would have room to get my boat in for motor install in the next few weeks. Drives - The hell if I know........there is no information on the new -4 Imcos, so I'm hesitant to go that direction. I may just go with the normal SCX's and have the anvil of a lower blueprinted. Boxes? I would take any advice out there on whether to just go ahead and put boxes on (like most all 37's) or wait until I try the boat without them, then add them on if I need to. ANY input from you 37 guys would be greatly appreciated. How about your engines? |
talk to cig92. he has boxes on his 37. he did some research on the boxes and drive height for his when he bought it.

Nice looking ride, best of luck. Please post some more pics.

Put the boxes on, they all have them for a reason, plus you have a perfect opportunity now with your mills sitting on stands.
