The early 47s were called Stilettos as well. That boat is called Four of a Kind. The boat had four 1100 Keith Eickert motors coupled to two big Arneson outdrives.

Former ol employee told me some clown sank that boat backing up too quickly? Rumor I heard from someone that was working at the factory during and after it was built

The boat had surface drives I believe, he put it in reverse they pulled the rear of the boat underwater. The owner at the time if I recall correctly told the insurance company it had 4 600hp engines, when they found out what was in the boat they weren't happy, I remember there was some big issue with it.

Nice looking GTX! Never seen that one.

OL40SVX 12-18-2013 05:09 PM

Gary it is a 51 GTX with twin 1075's. It was originally a LCM stock boat.

SLOWRIDE-388 12-18-2013 06:53 PM

Is it at the factory?

OL40SVX 12-18-2013 07:39 PM

Nope, it is owned by a guy in upstate NY. We had it at the shop for about a day over the summer for just a quick fix. It's a great boat! One of the few 51 GTX with only two motors.

4 of a kind was WAY ahead of its time back in the day and shot a rooster tail like I've never seen before
