Not anymore...... they quit making quad step 37s I heard ..... anyone know why ????

I love the 37 Outerlimits, I am not familiar with the 94 for sale and the one I bought is the only one I saw, I think there is a 95 or 96 with triples for sale in Michigan (Maverick), This is my first large offshore boat (have Donzi 18 classic) and I have never been in any other ones so I am probably not the best source for comparisons. I can say that the boat likes to run at 50 mph and higher, the ride smooths out and it just feels right. Construction is top notch. I would like to say thanks to everyone for this great site, I have learned a lot.

I can't see or get the pic to open in any program I have....so, is it the white with purple checkerboard one in WI? I called on one and it didn't have a/c or vacuflush (which I'm holding out for on our next boat..:))....but it was a good deal nevertheless. Is that it? It sure looked sweet.

What size fuel tank(s) do you have? I've seen both 175 and 240 total gals. Anyone know the deal, were the saddle tanks an option or something? If so, what years did they do that?

Does the boat run well at 30-35? Might sound like a stupid question....but just curious....just in case you catch some hotties in a cruiser, you want to be able to run along side:D:D:D

Hey fever, it is the boat from wisconsin, purple and grey checkerboard, no a/c or vaccuflush, 175 gals. It will cruise at 30 mph very comfortably, but in a choppy, confused sea, something that occurs on Lake Michigan near Chicago, the ride feels better at a faster speed. I frequently cruise at 30 mph with Teague switchable exhaust activated with family or friends aboard, everyone always comments how well built and solid the boat feels.

We've been running consistently in the low 90's in freshwater on gps. The boat is a 1998 with 575SC's (plus a smaller pulley kit from AZ Speed), extension boxes and new Bravo XR drives. With the pulley kit, they say we're getting 650hp per side. We were never able to completely dial the boat in this summer, but we did top out at 92mph on labbed 32's. We'll be sending out our ECM's this winter to be remapped because we frequently hit the rev limiter. Also our props will be relabbed and a supercharger will be rebuilt. I'm wishfully hoping for 95mph next summer.

The new 37' Quad-Step is supposedly more stable and will most likely run a little bit faster with KE675's...probably high 90's to 100mph.

I'm curious too....what are others running for top speeds? What are you spinning for props?

I was referring to the 2002 Quad-Step 37'. I was actually surprised that they went to the quad-step in 2002 because I had heard a few years ago that the single step design was better suited for the 37 Stiletto. Not sure what's in store for 2003. Where did you hear about a design change?

TomFTM 10-22-2002 09:02 PM

I have a 1995 37 OL with Appx. 700's , 580" s with speedy #5's on extention boxes running 18x31 4 blade lab finished props and were seeing 91.5 on gps @ 5150 rpms. I need to go with a little less pitch and get the motors up to 5600 or so ,but I ran out of dough for this season ...... We should see 95 or so when dialed in............. Tom :D

My 1997 37' runs low 70's withHP500's ,spinning a lab finish 28 not staggered w/stelling box's w/bravo 1's. I also am loaded w/ fridge, micro full cabin, air cond, with one 150gal tank which is never enough fuel. It's still the best 37' on the market by ten fold.
My new 540's will be done in three weeks i'll let ya know
