Wood in 37?

Is there any wood ( stringers, transom or floor) used in construction of the 37? I was just wondering if there was anything that can rot? I found one that has sat outside in the elements for unknown am out of time.

All of it is wood in an early 37, not sure on the later ones. They are some of the best laid up and sealed up boats I've worked on. It would've had to have been neglected pretty bad to be rotted.

It's a 97 or 98 if that makes a difference. It was been sitting in a lot for a year or 2 it's about 11hrs away so just trying to do little research before I go look.

It was for sale in the OSO classifieds. Not listed anymore and not sure of its current status.

2001 Outerlimits Stiletto powerboat for sale in Arizona

That boat in Arizona was a friend of mines boat when it was new in massachusstts. Nice package with the 575’s .

Also , if memory serves me correctly , the center stinger and the transom were the only wood in the early 37’s. The other stringers were foam encapsulated in glass .

I did some work on a triple 98 last winter, all the stringers, bulkheads and knees were wood.

The 37 had wood stringers 9 of them if I recall correctly. I have not been in a 37 in years. Im Texas and do pre purchase inspections professionally all over the the USA when needed.

The bulkheads as well are wood.

I stand corrected . Sorry

as fast as they are for a big, fairly simple hull you'd think it had some light materials used.

You replacing it with another boat? I had mine listed a while back, but changed my mind. The $$ to make the jump for 5' more is more substantial that I would like for 3 months of boating.

I am selling my 29 magic mid cabin . You still thinking of selling your?
