Anything out there someone considering or about to put up for sale? Looking for something a bit older, not wanting to spend a fortune here. Would like to be as close to 100k as possible, but obviously can always be tempted get a lil over budget for right boat . Must have a/c and full cabin. Would like a generator as well, but not a must. Would look at longer boats too. Thanks!!

I don't think you'll find a 39 or a 42 for 100K unless it is in really bad condition or it comes without power. 100K is more in line with a 37 that hasn't been restored.......just my opinion. Good luck with your search.

Would be why I said “as close to 100k as possible”. Have seen plenty of 04-05 for not far off and that and were sold a couple years ago. Surely they don’t appreciate??lol That being said, needing motors possibly or interior or any project stuff is totally ok too.

actually one could say some are appreciating for sure. From 07-14 the economy was in the tank, mfg's weren't building new boats and people were fire saling pre-owned boats...now since mid 2015 the economy is regaining strength and the new and pre-owned markets have as well. In the last 2 months i sold 2 boats that i had also sold 2 and 3 years ago and they both sold for more now than they did then. The pre-owned market is on fire as there's a shortage of boats out there. OSO classifieds used to have 12-1600 boats listed 12 months a year and now there's only 370-380. As a performance boat broker we are selling many before they even get advertised to people on the "boats wanted" list.

Totally agree. When boats were $150-$200k NEW in the late 90's early 2000's and are now $300-$400k for the same boat, people tend to hold on to what they have. The economy was poor and people were not buying new boats, and then when confidence returns, the price just doubled to get in the game. Not to mention the fact that a couple with two very good jobs could eek out a $150k boat maybe 20 years ago, but those jobs aren't paying double now to be able to eek out a $300-400k boat. Times have changed. It's too bad, too. If you are a shopper in the sub $100k range, you probably have to be somewhat quick to find the gems. However, it seems the used $200k boats buyers have more time to act since it's a smaller market. What is disappointing is that I'm not personally a cash buyer in the $400k market. That's #57 problem out of 99.

Agree 100% I sold mine to the first person who looked at it and I feel I gave it away but it was just the right timing for me with other things going on in my life. Regrets YES every day...

I have a friend with a 42' Straight Bottom Cig Tiger, with strong Sonny Leonard power. Would that be of interest?

A friend has one, and he might could be talked out of it.
