Theres a nice 46 Unlimited thats been for sale awhile at $269k or make offer. I would think as a buyer you have to be a decent amount under that 46 to justify going to an older, shorter, 42 legacy.....

The 42 seems to hold its value better for some reason from what I've seen.

Here’s another 46 for $256k or make offer

What do you Outerlimits guys think are the reasons behind the 42 holding value better than the newer, faster, longer 46’s? Not being a ball buster, just asking??

You're comparing this "We are posting this boat for a customer and do not know to much about the details. We do know that the boat has been extremely well taken of and is in excellent condition. If you have questions call me @ 281-352-5321 and I'll get them answered promptly!

Steve Wright
Classic Chevrolet Sugarland"

to a boat with fresh power and drives though. Not exactly apples to apples.

Possibly the length puts you in a spot where more to trailer and slip availability? Maybe similar reasons why the 37's hold their value better than the newer, faster 39's.

The ad states that all you have to do is call and ask whatever you want to know and he will relay all questions to the owner for answers. I’ve talked to the owner of that boat before when he called me about a boat I had for sale. He seemed pretty knowledgeable so I have no idea why he had a car dealer list it.

In my humble opinion the 42 legacy hull was what really pushed outerlimits to where they are today . Customers started putting huge horsepower in those hulls and they performed and handled very well . Obviously OL has come a long way since then but I truly believe this hull put them on the map so to speak. It’s is a desirable boat. Why exactly do they hold there value better than a 46 I guess I can’t really answer that. As for the 37 vs the 39 ... well I just dint think the 39 was one of there better boats but that’s probably a better question for someone that owned a 39
