Help with props on 37 GTX
 

Hi.

Hopeing you could help me with some advice on props for my Ol 37 GTX

I am in the middle of a mild restauration of a new to me 37 GTX and was wondering if you could advice me on where to start and what the hull likes. I have new build engines 614 cui with 14-71 blowers, the dyno sheets says 1000hp @6000 rpm and 1000lbft @ 4400rpm. For drives I have invested in arneson with 1.32 gears.

I did stumble over an old thread where a user named “thunderusone” had a 37 stiletto that many was comparable to mine, tried to pm him but no luck.

I live in Sweden and cleaver props like this is not that common so I have to order everything from the states without return policy.

32-33 pitch 18 degree 17.5-18 diameter is where you will be with that power and gear ratio

try Cobra power for used props. They have a prop swap program with what they have available

If it’s the one I’m thinking . Look for an old performance report that was done in Powerboat magazine , would likely have the props originally used for your application.
