New Outerlimits in the future!

Still looking for a Outlimits, the better half gave the green light, after the Miami show. Now we just need to agree on one along with trading the 357!

What power is needed to run above 90 mph will bravo's hold up
or do I need to find one with #6's. Also is stagged worth holding out for. I'm looking to stay around $200,000 mark

Depending on props, drives, etc....here's an idea of power and speeds for a 37' OL.
500's--low to mid 80's
575SC's--high 80's, low 90's
600's+--mid to high 90's to 100
700's +--100+mph

In the five seasons we've had our OL, we had to replace the Bravo lower units a couple of times--once in the 3 seasons that we had 500's and once in the past two seasons with 575's. Halfway through this past summer we made some minor modifications to our 575's and pushed 600+hp through Bravos and had no problems. We'll see if they hold up next summer. I have no experiences with #6's so I won't make an uneducated recommendation--just offering up our experiences.

PETE'S BOAT IS AWESOME JUST LIKE ALL THE OUTERLIMITS.
NO ONE CAN FIND A BETTER BOAT BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ONE.
TRY CALLING PAUL AT THE FACTORY FOR A USED BOAT, HE KNOWS OF A FEW . 401-253-7300.

Rob sure would love to have that boat also, but just more then I
can afford. I'm looking to stay around the 200,000 area. So I can just dream about a boat like that.

OuterLimits

Wildthing357,

There is an outerlimits here in michigan, don't
quote me , but I believe he runs right at
triple digits.

It is a Triple 600hp to 650hp with Bravo's.
It is for sale and it used to be Pauls personal
boat if I'm not mistaken.

Doug Popma bought it from Paul and is still the
owner. Doug used to race with the Great Lake
caster boats, 28 Saber and the Fountain.

Anyways Jim Valako helps maintain it I beleive.
So it your interested contact Valako, he is on the
board and should be able to put you in touch
with Doug. And if memory serves me right,
its around your price range.

Good Luck

Maverick......

Yes it is.....

jeffg 01-08-2003 09:39 PM

Check out boat trader, there is one in WI at Shipyard Marine. It is a 1998 with twin bulldogs, fresh water only, rack stored indoor heated. I bought my 1997 stilleto from them about 4 months ago and just checked out the hull on this one for sale, looked perfect. I guess a draw back is that it won't go 90 mph, but I think the price is only 155000.
