Thirsty Turtle 12-04-2001 05:15 PM

He must have got it....now he can't get away from it!!

JO - PANTERABOATS 12-04-2001 07:41 PM

Hey Griff, I am glad to hear that you purchased a 28 Pantera. If I can ever help you with the boat in any way please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me here at Pantera at 305-948-5600.I hope you enjoy it for many years.Regards, Jo :D

Griff 12-04-2001 09:19 PM

It got delivered today at about 3pm. Glad to have it home. Only about 5 months before I splash it.
Jo-thanks, I'm sure I'll be calling you in the spring. And in case you didn't know, it was Will Lynch's boat that I bought, so please change the Owner's Gallery info on your site when you get a chance.

Thanks, Scott Griffin.

Griff,

Where do you boat? If I remember, Omaha is on the Missouri River?? Are there many Pantera's in your area.

I'm on the Mississippi in southern MN. I've only seen 1 on the stretch of river I boat in.

Only about 20 Fridays until we're out boating again!
:D

Griff 12-06-2001 08:17 PM

TT, I do boat mainly on the Misourri River. I keep a slip in one of the marinas. I also get down to LOTO once or twice a year. There are no other Panteras around here that I know of, just a 1000 Bajas and handfull of Fountains. Thats one of the reasons I wanted one.

Griff 12-07-2001 03:40 PM

Too Old, I'm probably going LOTO Mem. Wknd. this year. I'll let you know. I'm sure there will be a big OSO get together again. I wish I could have made it last year.

Vonbongo 12-26-2001 11:04 PM

I can vouch for the 1000 Bajas, can't swing a cat by the tail (or turn one around in the channel) w/o having to avoid one!

If Griff gets his Baja sold that will be one less here! I am afraid Marty is going to load up the river with Eliminators next.

Oh well, can't wait to see the new ride Griff, with your new boat, Kat's cat and a possible new addition to my driveway it's going to be a great summer!!

4 1/2 months till the marina opens, excluding floods and broken down dredges.

Marty wishes he could load up the river with Eliminators. Lets see if the marina actually opens on time this year.

Too Old, the timeshare is traded and I'm for sure going to be at LOTO Memorial Weekend. See Ya there.

JimmyBaja 12-31-2001 11:20 PM

Griff and Vonbongo go easy on the Bajas. I just bought one last summer. Was a much better ride in rough water than the old Four Winns. Looking forward to Bellevue Marina opening on schedule..... Jim

Von Bongo 01-09-2002 10:27 AM

Hey Jim,

Not bashing Baja's, just saying they are the most prevalent performance/sport boat on the river. Heck, Griff still has Baja. It’s Eliminators that we are bashing :D. J/K I don’t bash other peoples boats, everyone buys what fit’s their needs, wants and pocket book.

You're from Des Moines, do you get to the west part of the state to boat? We need to put together an OSO bar-b-que sometime this summer. Any reason to throw a few racks of ribs on the smokers!

Griff 01-10-2002 04:54 AM

Von, I don't think he was all that serious about the Baja bashing. He knows how many of them are around. In case you didn't know JimmyBaja has a slip in Bellevue also.
Ribs sound good or anything else that goes with a Bud light. We'll definately have to get something organized this summer. You should think about the Mem. Wknd. LOTO trip to. It should be a great time.

Griff - VonBongo-

Pier three...... Just bought a car port to cover the dock for next year. Have to have the hoist moved forward a little this spring the boat sets with the bow down unless I hang the back out.
Looking forward to partying this summer. Lets hook up sometime!!!
Jim

Vonbongo 01-13-2002 11:27 AM

Jimmy,

Im on pier 3 also, you have to 280 right across from my fountain?

It's the only baja I remember on 3? Also if you need help putting up the port let me know, I might need help with mine :D

Griff, I am still mulling the trip to LOTO over, haven't ruled it out yet, just too many irons in the fire right now :D

JimmyBaja 01-13-2002 05:29 PM

Vonbongo,

Yes that is mine. I thought I saw your Fountain for sale on Boattrader?
I may need some help with the carport. Let me know when your going to put yours up. Did you already purchase one?

Jim

Vonbongo 01-13-2002 08:38 PM

Hey Jim,

Yea it was/is for sale, only a matter of time I hope, I will put it again on boat trader closer to spring. If it doesn't sell no big deal, I like the boat but I found a couple of 35's & 32's I really like and I am looking at a few 31 Bullets but they sure are proud of those cig's.

I haven't purchased my carport yet, was going to do it last year and then got busy at work and didn't want to do it during boating time :D this year I will get it going in April.

Just let me know when you want to do it, glad to help.

Vonbongo 01-13-2002 08:42 PM

Oh,

Went to the boat show today, RC Olsen had a few nice Baja's, Midwest only had one eliminator at the show and there was a used 27 Fountain for $46500, 97 vintage with a 454 Mag. I think my boat was cleaner than it. And it's $5,000 less!

JimmyBaja 01-14-2002 07:38 PM

Vonbongo-

I was in town Friday night and part of Saturday. Had plans to go to the boat show, but things did not work out. A friend that went was disappointed in the show.

Jim
